Last week, I told you that director Paul Greengrass (Green Zone, photo) was in doubt between two interesting projects to be his next film. The first project was Maresk Alabama, film based on the memoir nile dutch "A Captain's Duty", the sea captain Richard Phillips. The other was Rush, which tell the story of the serious accident suffered by the Formula 1 driver Niki Lauda in GP Nunburgring in 1976.
The film will tell the story of the American ship Maersk Alabama hijacked by Somali pirates in April 2009. Before the kidnapping, Phillips asked the 20 crew members who trancassem in a box and volunteered for the safety of his staff. Phillips was five days in the hands of pirates until it was rescued.
When the first news came out that I advanced Greengrass choose Maersk Alabama, to have a more current story and should draw attention to the Academy, in addition to Hanks cast in the lead role.
