NEW YORK. There are at least two Joshua Tree listed in New York, but this Joshua Tree (map) is not one of them. The small bar Joshua Tree at the junction 3rd Avenue / 23rd Street ranks may not be as high in the weekend annexes or New York apps on your iPhone. But the fact is that there is a great little place (like the hook next, but we will take them another time).
The bar is a classic beer and sports bar with big screens in the back room, and a long bar counter that exudes zim line joy and celebration zim line in the outer. The burgers are excellent, albeit a bit dry. We can remark that the chef should add more cheese in ostburgarna. But the atmosphere is pleasant, straightforward and cheerful and the service ok.
This is part of a New York that many visitors might miss, just two avenues down from the glam shopping along Fifth Avenue, yet in a completely different part of town. Joshua Tree recommended if you want to grab a beer and make a quick lunch stop.
